ASUS ROG Phone 3 | THE TECHERZ

Introduction

The ROG Phone is a beast of a phone. It was created for gamers and has the specs to back up that claim. While it does have some issues with battery life and screen brightness, overall this is one phone you should consider if you're into gaming on your phone or just want something that can handle anything you throw at it.

A Gaming Phone

ASUS ROG Phone 3 is a gaming phone, and it's got some pretty impressive features to back that up. It's got a high refresh rate and a high resolution screen so you can get the best possible experience when playing games or watching videos. The camera on the back has been improved to take better quality photos in lowlight conditions, while the front camera will help you capture selfies with ease.

The battery life of this device is also very impressive at six hours of continuous use on single charge, thanks to its fast charging technology (which uses USB Type-C).

Display

The 6.59-inch AMOLED display has a resolution of 2340x1080 and a pixel density of 424 pixels per inch (PPI). This translates to a density that's higher than most phones on the market, but still not quite as sharp as those with 4K screens.

The ROG Phone 3 features an incredibly fast refresh rate, meaning it will refresh its screen faster than your eyes can move from one part of the screen to another. This helps reduce glares and ghosting effects in games and videos, which otherwise would make them harder on your eyes when viewed at such high frame rates.

The 1ms response time also helps reduce motion blur during gaming sessions; you'll be able to catch every detail out there on screen without losing any sharpness or clarity!

Battery

  • Battery life: The ASUS ROG Phone 3 has a 5000 mAh battery, which is larger than the 4000 mAh battery in its predecessor. The phone supports fast charging at 30W and can be charged wirelessly or with a wired connection.

  • Charging speeds: Wireless charging can charge your phone at 15W, while reverse wireless charging provides a 10W output for quick top-ups.

 Processor/ RAM

There are two options for the Snapdragon 865+ processor, the 8GB RAM or 12GB RAM. You can also choose between 128GB or 512GB of storage for your phone.

5G support

5G is the next generation of mobile broadband and it's a lot faster than 4G. It offers lightning-fast speeds, more capacity and reliability than its predecessor, but it also requires new technologies that haven't been widely adopted yet (like millimeter wave spectrum).

The first 5G phones will be available in 2020—so that means you'll have to wait awhile before you can get your hands on one!

Camera

The rear camera is equipped with a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor, which is one of the most powerful sensors in the industry. This means you can expect excellent low-light performance, great detail and color reproduction.

The 13MP wide angle lens has been optimized to capture landscapes more accurately while still maintaining crisp details at the edges of your photos. The 5MP macro lens allows you to get closer to your subject without losing any details by using a super-wide aperture (f/1.8).

Front camera - 24MP f/2.0 sensor

The ASUS ROG Phone 3 has a 24MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture and wide angle lens for better selfies. You can also take portrait-mode shots with the front camera, or use Face Unlock to unlock your phone when you look at it from a distance of up to 2 meters (6 ft 6 in).

This thing is a beast

This thing is a beast. The ASUS ROG Phone 3 packs a powerful processor, high resolution display and fast charging support into an all-around solid package. It also has 5G support and good camera quality to boot.

The Snapdragon 855 chipset inside the ROG Phone 3 is one of Qualcomm’s most powerful chipsets ever made—and it shows when you use the phone to do anything from streaming music from Spotify or YouTube Music to playing games like Fortnite: Battle Royale at 1080p or even 4K resolution (the latter at 60 fps). You can also take advantage of its Hi-Fi audio capabilities with surround sound speakers that pump out crystal clear sounds without distortion no matter how loud you turn them up (even above 100% volume).

Conclusion

So, when does the ROG Phone 3 come out? We don’t know for sure yet, but we do know that ASUS will announce the details of their upcoming flagship at IFA 2018 in Berlin, Germany. We also expect to see some sort of global launch sometime this year.
